Good Health Acupuncture offers the following:

  • Acupuncture (Nancy is trained in several styles and techniques) Hair thin needles are placed in specific Acupuncture points on the body to stimulate healing and reduction of pain and symptoms.
  • Electro-Acupuncture: A gentle electrical stimulus is applied to the acupuncture points via small wire leads attached to the needles. Most clients’ find this stimulus pleasant and similar to a Tens unit. Electro-Acupuncture assists in the improvement of circulation in a painful area and can assist in relaxing tight muscles.
  • Cupping Therapy:
  • What Is Cupping?Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
  • What Are The Benefits of Cupping? The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.
  • Asian Massage (Tui Na massage, a Chinese form of massage is incorporated into many pain management treatments to improve results. It focuses of working on painful trigger points and incorporates some stretches, as well as kneading, rolling and pressing and is tailored to an individuals tolerance) I incorporate this if needed into the acupuncture treatment, particularly when there is a musculo-skeletal problem.
  • Cosmetic Acupuncture (Separate price scale): The newest anti-aging trend which works best between the ages of 40 and 60 years of age. It involves sticking hair thin needles into the facial skin and facial muscles, as well as neck muscles. It improves circulation to help provide a rosy glow and can provide a gentle lift. Again it is not suitable for those with significant drooping or severely aged skin. It requires 12 weekly treatments and than a person will need an occasional session, perhaps every six weeks to two months to maintain the improvements.
  • Health Coaching (Do you have a health care goal you want to reach? Whether it is weight loss, smoking cessation, diabetic blood sugar management, or some other health goal, I can help you)
  • Nutritional and supplement counseling. Find out what supplements are best for you and can help you maintain health. Supplement quality is all over the place and they aren’t all created equal.
  • Gua-sha: A form of therapy that works on breaking up scar tissue and adhesion’s that build up on tendons, muscles, and ligaments using rounded tools with a lineament or oil.A scraping technique is used on the skin with the tool. It can cause skin redness depending on how aggressive it is performed.
